About Us

Derek and Megan Wendt started Wendt & Sons Oilfield Service in 2006. At this time they were only performing minor oilfield services which included the cleaning and painting of tank batteries, treaters, pumping units and compressors. In 2008 they purchased a new hot oil truck from Rush Sales in Odessa TX.

Megan and Derek operated this hot truck in Cheyenne Wells CO for three years. In this three year time the company operated water trucks, roustabout crews and contract pumping of oil wells. In 2010 Derek and Megan decided to move their operations to Killdeer ND. Wendt & Sons grew from one hot oil truck located in Killdeer ND to a total of 16 hot oil trucks between four locations in ND and MT. Wendt & Sons also added frac water heaters to the fleet in 2012. In May of 2013 Derek's father (Rusty Wendt) joined the team as Vice President of operations for all of Wendt & Sons locations. He brings over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Wendt & Sons has trucks in ND, MT, CO. Wendt & Sons offers way more services than just hot oiling. We have trucks capable of pumping up to 15,000# and some with rates of up to 9 BBL per minute.
